Mushh is a creative studio consisting of artists Liah Edwardes and Joel Barton, working across murals, design, and participatory art projects with collaboration and community at the core of their practice.

Alongside their public and community-led work, Mushh maintains an established studio practice that brings together both artists’ distinct visual languages. Blending Liah’s delicate continuous line work with Joel’s bold abstract shapes, the studio creates a distinctive fusion of realism and abstraction, resulting in textured, multi-dimensional pieces that merge their individual approaches into cohesive, expressive artworks.

Mushh’s projects range from large-scale public artworks and site-responsive murals to workshops and creative programmes developed in close dialogue with the communities they work alongside. Whether working independently or collaboratively, the studio’s approach is research-led, place-responsive, and grounded in creating accessible, high-quality work that connects people to their environments.
